1876 Centennial GILLINDER FROSTED LION GLASS PAPERWEIGHT British Lion
This auction is for a very nice Frosted Lion glass paperweight made by Gillinder at the 1876 Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia.  The paperweight is signed GILLINDER & SONS  CENTENNIAL EXHIBITION on the bottom.  This paperweight is referred to as the British Lion (Plate 516) on Page 518 of Bessie Lindsey’s book
American Historical Glass
.  The maximum dimensions are approximately 2 ¾” wide x 5 ⅝” long x 2 ¾” high.  3 ¼” deep x 6” high.  The overall condition is VF to Excellent with a few insignificant flea bites (1 on the mane & others on the edge & scallops), and a small flake on the scalloped behind his tail.  Please look at all the photos and ask any questions.  See my other auctions.  Combined shipping is available to save postage.  Offered with NO RESERVE
