The CLASSIC SL-200 MPPT Charge Controller is a simplified SOLAR ONLY version of the CLASSIC 200 with streamlined menus. The CLASSIC SL-200 has a graphics panel and ground fault, but no arc fault, Ethernet capability, or Auto EQ. The CLASSIC SL-200 has a maximum output current of 79 amps, an operating voltage of 200 volts and works with 12 to 72 volt battery systems. As with the whole CLASSIC line, the CLASSIC 200-SL has MidNite’s exclusive HyperVOC which extends VOC limits when needed. With a streamlined menu, these SOLAR only MPPT charge controllers are easy to setup and a breeze to install!
Extended Warranty
MidNite Solar offers an industry first, an extended warranty for all the CLASSIC MPPT charge controllers. Six months prior to the end of the warranty period customers can ship their CLASSIC back to MidNite Solar with a check for 7 dollars plus shipping and we will replace any wearable parts and do a general tune-up. This will extend the warranty by 2 additional years, another good reason to purchase a CLASSIC.

Can you use the MidNite Solar CLASSIC 150-SL Charge Controllers with lithium batteries?
Yes, you can use any of the MidNite Solar CLASSIC or CLASSIC SL charge controllers with lithium batteries as long as you have a Battery Management System (BMS).
What is the max wire size the ground terminal will accept?
The max wire size the ground terminal will accept is 1/0, however, for systems with a battery breaker sized 60 amps and smaller, 10 AWG (6 mm2) copper is generally sufficient. For systems with a battery breaker sized 100 amps and smaller, 8 AWG (10 mm2) copper is required. For grounding conductor requirements on your specific installation please consult your local electrical code.

No, you cannot pair the CLASSIC Charge Controller with the new DIY inverters.
Exchanges or Returns
Please contact us before returning or exchanging an item to receive a return authorization (RA). Items returned to us without receiving a return authorization will be returned to you at your expense. We accept exchanges and returns for unopened items or damaged/defective products within 30 days of receipt of shipment.  A 20% restocking fee may apply to multiple quantity returns or large ticket items. A 20% restocking fee
will
apply for all products that ship freight. Exchanges and returns are not accepted after 30 days of receipt of shipment.
Unopened Products
To make an exchange or return for an unopened product, please contact us and obtain a Return Authorization. If the exchanged or returned product is unopened with all original accessories, manuals, packaging, and/or shrink wrap, you will be responsible for return shipping.  If the product was sold with free shipping, shipping charges to deliver the item will be deducted from the refund amount.  A refund to your method of payment will be processed within one week of receiving an authorized return minus any applicable shipping charges.
Damaged/Defective Products
To make an exchange or return for a damaged/defective product, please contact us and obtain a Return Authorization. If the product is returned for being damaged/defective, we will provide a return shipping label for domestic shipping costs.  If we test and confirm the product is damaged/defective and receive the product along with all original accessories, manuals, and packing, we will provide a refund for the purchase price of the product, plus domestic shipping charges, if any, assessed at the time of purchase. International shipping charges, if any, will not be reimbursed.  A refund to your method of payment will be processed within one week of receiving an authorized return. If we test and confirm the product is in full working order, a refund will not be provided and you will be responsible for providing a return shipping label to have the product returned to you.
