    SMA SB6.0-1 SP-US-41 Sunny Boy 6kW Solar Inverter Standard with Integrated DC Disco, 3-MPPT, AFCI 208/249 VAC with SPS Function.
    This 6000Watt SMA Sunny Boy inverter is part of the newest range of residential grid-tie inverters. Designed to operate at 208VAC single-phase or 240VAC split phase, these units were designed specifically for the US market with built-in AFCI and DC disconnects. They have a very wide DC range on their (3) MPPT inputs resulting in earlier startup, later shutdown and ultimate flexibility in array design. These inverters are also fitted with the enhanced SMA OptiTrac™ feature on all inputs mitigating shading issues on the more challenging installs. These units also have "smart-grid" features allowing it to be future proof regardless of utility requirements.

    During registration of the system in Sunny Portal, the installer simply checks a box to activate SMA Smart Connected which commences automatic inverter monitoring by SMA.
    Automatic inverter monitoring
    SMA automatically monitors the inverter to identify events around-the-clock. Both installers and their customers benefit from SMA's many years of experience diagnosing sophisticated inverter technology.
    Proactive communication
    After a fault has been diagnosed and analyzed, SMA informs the installer and PV system operator immediately by email. So all parties are proactively prepared for the troubleshooting process ensuring minimum downtime and reducing truck roll costs.
    Replacement Service
    In the rare event that a replacement component is necessary, SMA automatically supplies a replacement component within one to three days of the fault diagnosis. The installer can then contact the PV system operator of his/her own accord and repair the inverter immediately.

    FAQs
    What is the difference between the "-40" and "-41" Sunny Boy inverters?
    The "-41" Sunny Boy inverters are SunSpec Rapid Shutdown compliant and have a built-in mounting bracket. The older and discontinued model "-40" Sunny Boy inverters are not SunSpec Rapid Shutdown compliant and the mounting bracket is a separate piece (i.e. not built-into the unit).
    Exchanges or Returns
    Please contact us before returning or exchanging an item to receive a return authorization (RA). Items returned to us without receiving a return authorization will be returned to you at your expense. We accept exchanges and returns for unopened items or damaged/defective products within 30 days of receipt of shipment.  A 20% restocking fee may apply to multiple quantity returns or large ticket items. A 20% restocking fee
    will
    apply for all products that ship freight. Exchanges and returns are not accepted after 30 days of receipt of shipment.
    Unopened Products
    To make an exchange or return for an unopened product, please contact us and obtain a Return Authorization. If the exchanged or returned product is unopened with all original accessories, manuals, packaging, and/or shrink wrap, you will be responsible for return shipping.  If the product was sold with free shipping, shipping charges to deliver the item will be deducted from the refund amount.  A refund to your method of payment will be processed within one week of receiving an authorized return minus any applicable shipping charges.
    Damaged/Defective Products
    To make an exchange or return for a damaged/defective product, please contact us and obtain a Return Authorization. If the product is returned for being damaged/defective, we will provide a return shipping label for domestic shipping costs.  If we test and confirm the product is damaged/defective and receive the product along with all original accessories, manuals, and packing, we will provide a refund for the purchase price of the product, plus domestic shipping charges, if any, assessed at the time of purchase. International shipping charges, if any, will not be reimbursed.  A refund to your method of payment will be processed within one week of receiving an authorized return. If we test and confirm the product is in full working order, a refund will not be provided and you will be responsible for providing a return shipping label to have the product returned to you.
