    Description

    This game day (unplayed) vintage baseball is in great shape, with all official markings clearly stamped and visible - see photos. 1973.
    Great for autographs of old school players or just to display.
    This particular baseball is stamped "Made in USA Sewn in Haiti by Spalding," indicating that it is the 1973 model. The 1973 balls are interesting for 2 reasons:
    - They were the last batch of baseballs to feature Cronin's name as League President before Lee MacPhail.
    -More notably, this batch of 1973 baseballs marked the final production of horsehide balls for the MLB,  before a precipitous power drop in the 1974 season was blamed on the introduction of cows leather.
